Lots has been happening here on this end in regards to my 4 newest Jesus Dressups. They’re such a perfectly beautiful collection sitting here before me, it’s hard to contain my excitement, and I’m not the only one! Finally I have STORES (plural) in Michigan! You’ve already heard me talk at length about Puzzle’s. Now I’m thrilled to announce Alpha & Omega Ink in Grand Rapids. You see, it’s one thing to find a place in Michigan, for god’s sake. It’s a whole other when those who work there are just as enthusiastic about them as I. That’s definitely the case with AO Ink. Go see for yourself. And get a tattoo while you’re at it!

The other big happening – I am now collaborating with a charity! Who woulda guessed? And it’s all thanks to my friend from Union Square, Qween Amor.
You see, about a month ago I sent Qween a couple sets of Jesus Dressups as appreciation for her VOLUNTEER evangelizing spreading her love, joy & legs on the streets of New Orleans.

Anyhow, upon receiving them she then made this fun little video for her ig. As a result of Qween’s video I was contacted by The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence NYC about collaborating with Jesus Dressup fridge magnets in order to raise money for their charity. You can find out more about them here.

I’m just so super excited about this turn of events, having these back in NYC with true heathens who understand. I couldn’t ask for a more impressive advocates than these wonderful queens. If you see them, go buy my magnets from them!

There are indeed more exciting developments I’m not yet ready to reveal, but stay tuned. This could be another big year for Jesus Dressup.

There’s a new interview from Saturday with the Conservative Atheist Podcast.
Despite the title it does not get political. We mostly discuss Amazing Strangers. It’s an hour long, so if you’re one of those who’s stressin’ about whether or not I’m returning, you should give it a listen. I share some stories you’ve probably never heard before and get pretty frank about the dangerous situations I experienced. I also reveal the whereabouts of a handful of “secret” videos I’ve had to keep unlisted for various reasons. Click here to listen.

In addition I’ve been creating more Neptune art, now on display at Puzzle’s Oddities. I’ve been LOVING the process of bringing the details of this world to life again. I seem to be given unlimited space at Puzzle’s to show them off so I don’t see me stopping any time soon. Bring on the ink!

I know it’s been months, but I finally have news worth posting.
• My buddy Shaggy is having a book signing of “Pray for Pigeons” at Premier Skate Shop in Grand Rapids Michigan this Friday, July 29th! The reason this is also amazing is because I’m now living in Michigan, so I’ll be paying Shaggy a visit that day as well, buying a copy for myself to get it signed. You are all invited too.

In less urgent news I have new art on display & sale at Puzzles Oddities in Muskegon. Gosh, I love that place! They’ve sold Goldblatt Superhead, Madonna Brando, and many Jesus magnets. It’s been so satisfying working in pen & ink on the Creatures of Neptune series after decades. Here’s a glimpse of my latest.

So, as a favor to me, go to Premier Skate Shop on Friday and make Shaggy sign a copy of his book for you, then drive to Puzzles and look at my art and maybe buy something there as well. Oh! And look at what some jerk did to my pamphlet I left on this urinal.

Once again I am overjoyed to announce the arrival of two new Jesus Dressups added to the collection. An updated version of Lady Gaga JDU (w/more hats!) and the totally brand new Supreme Deities JDU featuring all of our favorite gods, messiahs, profits, and cult leaders! They both just look so fantastic! I couldn’t be any more delighted with how they look and play. I invite you to see for yourself.

In addition, I’m equally thrilled to showcase the only store in my city… in the whole state of Michigan… Hell, in all of the Midwest to offer every available Jesus Dressup. Puzzle’s Oddities & Ends in Muskegon Michigan is like no other. Last month my girlfriend and I stumbled across Puzzle’s hidden behind a strip mall, in an empty parking lot, within a strip of unoccupied doctor offices. Easily the strangest store in the city. I plan to share more of what I love about this place in future posts, but for now I’m going to limit my praises for showcasing my Jesus magnets & Neptune posters. Before now these have never been available for sale anywhere, ever!

Creatures of Neptune is a series of works I inked in the mid 90s. Those of you who’ve known me for a while have probably seen glimpses of these characters in low-res on earlier versions of my sites. These however are hi-res prints with the hand lettering banners. I’m so so proud of these, and feel honored to have a place to show them to the world. All I’ve ever wanted is a space in a store to showcase & sell my freaky art , Jesus magnets & anti-tracts. A “Normal Bob”  corner, if you will. Never did I predict I’d find that place here in my home town.
